Internship and residency program

At Grace, we are committed to investing in leadership development. Our innovative internship and residency program includes part-time and full-time opportunities throughout various ministries.

A Grace Internship is the perfect place to explore a ministry calling while moving forward into adulthood. We are dedicated to purposefully develop high-potential leaders into experienced pastors. It’s an opportunity to be mentored by a skilled pastoral staff while serving and leading in effective ministries. Whether students get an offer to stay on staff at a Grace Campus, go back to their home church with fresh experiences, or plant new churches – well-trained pastors are in high demand.

Application for 2025 internships is now open.

Application for Fall 2025 internships and residencies will begin on August 1st 2024.

Applications will be accepted & reviewed through January 15th, 2025.

Our internships are 1 year in length and can be renewed annually to a maximum of 4 years.

Every Internship includes 3 essential elements:

Experience

Nothing can replace hands-on experience. Interns are involved in every part of the ministry. They assist and partner with their pastors and team to execute real ministry. This comes together in all kinds of ways: Shadowing experts in a variety of ministries, working on specific tasks with a team, or rubbing shoulders with top-tier leaders from Grace and our partners.

Education

Every Intern is enrolled in the “Grace College at Grace Church” program. In 4 short years, students will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. This provides formal, systematic biblical training. The courses are taught by highly qualified local professors (often Grace Pastors), with a strong emphasis on practical real-world ministry and leadership.
All students in the program have a team of mentors that are coaching, leading and building into their lives. This is everything from specialized ministry training classes, to weekly and monthly 1 on 1 mentoring.

Responsibility

Every intern has responsibilities in their area of ministry. The responsibilities are different with every team, but as experience and trust grows, so will the influence and impact of the intern. Our dream is that every intern would understand how to be effective for the gospel in the local church and grow to their full potential.

Areas of MINISTRY

We work hard to create an environment where students can find community, have fun, and explore who Jesus is. An intern or resident forstudent ministries should be passionate about young people and a desire to come alongside students in order to help them discover who God has created them to be. It’s how people feel the message of the gospel. An intern or resident for worship/creative arts should be passionate for the local church, have a fire for creativity, and a coachable heart. Think of your experience growing up. Who invested in your life? What we do for kids early on will leave a lasting impression. At Grace Church we are fully committed to kids. We unapologetically devote major resources and energy toward shaping a God-centered worldview during a person’s prime developmental years. We want to help make Jesus make sense and equip families to disciple their kids. Your experience could include things like:
